About Me

I was born in Bountiful, Utah but soon moved to Shreveport, Louisiana. I called it home for twenty-one years of my life. Growing up, I was surrounded by an incredibly supportive family and friends who always  encouraged me to pursue my passions. I just recently moved to Denver, Colorado to pursue my videography career. Being closer to the mountains is something I have always wanted, and now I am finally here. I am excited to see where this life takes me next.

Education

2017-2021

Business of Photography

Centenary College of Louisiana

One of the benefits that came with attending a small college was the ability to create my own degree. Since Centenary did not have a dedicated videography degree, I was able to create my own class schedule specifically tailored to my interests. College wasn't just education, I had the privilege of helping rebuild the Gents Lacrosse program by being the team's only goalie at the time. I also got involved with the Kappa Sigma fraternity, and was elected Vice President by my brothers my junior-senior year.

2013-2017

High School Diploma

Caddo Magnet High School

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Caddo Magnet High. This is where I was able to play a wide range of sports, as well as find my passion for media production. I was able to take a variety of classes that made me realize how much I loved working with cameras in all aspects. One of my favorites was video journalism, which also tied in with the school's morning video news channel, "Magnet TV."

Work Experience

2017-2020

Camp Ozark

Videographer, Camp Counselor, Lifeguard

What was a hobby officially became a career. This is where I got my start in videography. Over two week intervals, we would go out and film during key parts of the day while also editing during the slow parts. As a team, our media output varied from a twenty minute video every two weeks, to daily videos that needed to be uploaded within hours. The team I worked with was amazing, and I even had the pleasure of leading them. Part of this team was in charge of social media, as well.  Because of this, everything we edited and filmed had to be in line with the current social media trends.

2021-2023

KTAL NBC6/FOX33

Senior Creative Producer

Most of my portfolio content came from this job. I played a lot of roles here: Camera Operator, Live Gib Operator, Videographer, Video Editor, Special Effect Artist, Sound Effect Artist, Graphic Designer, and Photographer, etc. I was able to thrive when given creative freedom, and often asked for by name by clients. I gained such a reputation early-on, that I was promoted from entry-level Creative Services Producer to Senior Creative Producer in a span of only 6 months. While there was a very talented team of creatives in my department, I usually worked solo on my day-to-day responsibilities.

2018-Present

Freelance

Of course, my work extends far past my job. I have come to love the creative freedom that some of my freelance work has provided to me.
